Having a long technical career, Alexander calls himself a “recovering developer”. He wrote his first program in Algol-60 at high school and still writes code for fun. In his 18 years at Autodesk Alexander grew from a junior developer to an architect and a team lead. Alexander led software development teams at SunPower, CA and SunLink, CA. In 2015 I single handedly designed and created CAD product for PV installation (PVCad) and co-found a startup company PVComplete.

Alexander learned about the Agile Manifesto and XP in 2007 from Martin Fowler when met him at one of the technical conferences. That was a turning point in his career. Alexander launched his first Scrum team at SunPower acting as a Scrum Master, later scaled it to 4 teams at 3 different geographical locations.

Alexander utilized Rally for all his projects and spoke at a few “Rally on the rocks” events in San Francisco. In 2014, his friends from Rally inspired Alexander to start his new career path as an agile coach at cPrime, CA.

2014-2015 Alexander was working on California Medical Medicare Informational System as an Agile Coach under Cognizant Technology Solutions umbrella implementing SAFe with 22 teams and conducting Scrum and SAFe trainings for Cognizant teams across the globe.

In 2015 – 2016 Magnetic, NY hired Alexander to extend Scrum from 5 to 9 teams across 3 geographical locations. Alexander facilitated change in company culture that made people happier and business thriving.

In 2016-2017 Alexander started his own consulting business helping a couple of small clients in Latvia and the UK with their agile journeys.

In October 2017 his former colleague from Autodesk invited Alexander to lead agile transformation at Bank of the West. In less than 2 years he won the support of the executive team and helped Bank of the West to increased Agile methodology utilization from 5% to 50% of the products.
